CJP protest: 215 taken into preventive custody as Delhi Police flags bad characters; intelligence inputs prompt action

To maintain order, Delhi Police detained more than 200 individuals around Jantar Mantar amid concerns of unrest stemming from neighboring states. Heightened security measures followed intelligence alerts, with several of those detained possessing previous criminal records. Some were also arrested for carrying weapons. Prohibitory orders were enforced, limiting access to the protest site as police forces were deployed in substantial numbers around the area.
