CBI arrests a suspect in 36-year old kidnapping of Rubaiyya Sayeed

The CBI has apprehended an individual linked to the 1989 kidnapping of Rubaiyya Sayeed. Sayeed, daughter of the then Union home minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, was abducted by JKLF terrorists. She was released after five days in exchange for terrorists. The CBI took over the case in the early 1990s. Prime accused Yasin Malik is currently imprisoned.
