Burdened by health issues, a Massachusetts single mom and her 3 kids were living in a crumbling, mold-infested house. Then her community and strangers renovated her house free of charge

A Massachusetts single mother, Jane Cunningham, and her three children were living in a deteriorating home with mold, a damaged roof and a collapsed ceiling. Unable to afford repairs amid ongoing health issues, Cunningham received help after her friend, Melinda Johnson, launched a GoFundMe. Construction executive Dave Fenton and other professionals renovated parts of the house free of charge. Donations will support remaining roof repairs, household expenses and medical debt.
