A 3,400-year-old Egyptian mummy held a secret beneath her linen wrappings. Scientists found a shell made of mud, sand and straw

The coffin, dating to around 1000 BC, did not match the mummy's identity, which remains uncertain. This find sheds light on ancient Egyptian burial practices and their beliefs regarding the afterlife.
