45% of US exports out of Section 301 duty; textile mechanism still pending, says govt

About forty-five percent of India's exports to the US are excluded from new tariffs. The remaining fifty-five percent of exports will attract a ten percent additional duty. India is continuing negotiations with Washington on these trade matters. The government engaged closely with the US Trade Representative throughout the investigation. This provides a relative advantage to Indian exports in key sectors.
