Ex-minister R Vaithilingam's bribery case back on the table; ACB orders reinvestigation amid political controversy and public scrutiny

A Rs 27.9 crore bribery case against former AIADMK minister Vaithilingam has been reopened by the DVAC. Following allegations of receiving kickbacks from a construction firm for official favours, a fresh probe was ordered after the case's earlier closure sparked criticism. The investigation is now underway.
