Chennai's VelacheryTambaram high road to be named after Major Mukund Varadharajan

A significant 16-km stretch of road in Chennai, the VelacheryTambaram High Road, will soon bear the name of Major Mukund Varadharajan. This renaming honours the brave Indian Army officer, posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra for his ultimate sacrifice. The Tambaram Corporation Council officially approved this tribute, recognizing his profound contribution and valour.
