Months-long under-the-radar investigation paved the way for Mamkootathils arrest

Officials said a third me-too disclosure, received by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayans office last year and processed secretly by the police over the past few months, helped investigators legally circumvent the interim protection from arrest Mr Mamkootathil had obtained from the High Court in two earlier rape and coerced termination of pregnancy cases.
