Veteran hockey coach Baldev Singh to be honoured with Padma Shri

Baldev Singh will receive the Padma Shri from Droupadi Murmu for his outstanding contribution to Indian hockey. The veteran coach transformed Shahabad Markanda into a major hockey talent hub, mentoring over 80 international players and eight Indian captains. He also coached Indias mens team and guided them to the 2004 Asia Cup title.
