World Cup qualifying marathon ends with Iraq securing the 48th and final spot

The 2026 FIFA World Cup field is now complete. Iraq and Bosnia and Herzegovina secured the final berths. Italy has been eliminated from qualifying for a third straight World Cup. The tournament begins June 11 and will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
