However, Apple doesnt provide you with a cable, so youll need to buy one separately. You could pay Apple $69 for one, or you can grab a 3.3ft cable for $8 , down from its $46 MSRP. This Anker cable is as impressive as Thunderbolt 5 is. With 80Gbps data transfers, Anker says you can move a 5GB file in just 1 second. Thats a massive amount of data that moves before you can blink. Its a serious charging cable, too, supporting up to 240W. This short cable can push your 16-inch MacBook Pro from 0 to 50 percent in less than half an hour. When it comes to multitasking, this cable also supports 8K displays at 60Hz, while bandwidth can reach up to 120Gbps, keeping everything smooth and sharp. Of course, youll only get to enjoy this cables full potential if your laptop, dock, or drive also supports Thunderbolt 5, but while you wait to buy one you can still use it on any Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C device, just at alower speeds. So, go ahead and future-proof your next MacBook accessories with this $38 Anker Thunderbolt 5 cable.
