NCERT to Introduce Diploma in Guidance and Counselling for Educators

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is launching a Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling aimed at school teachers and counselling professionals, starting in January 2027. This one-year program will equip educators with the skills to address the academic and emotional challenges faced by students. The course will be conducted in a hybrid format, including an internship, and will be available at six centers across India. This initiative aims to enhance the support teachers can provide to students in navigating their educational journeys.
