Surprise checks, tighter scrutiny: NMC builds national faculty pool to inspect medical colleges

The National Medical Commission is establishing a national pool of government medical college faculty for surprise inspections to enhance scrutiny of medical institutions. This initiative, starting with 2026-27 academic year approvals, aims to ensure compliance with norms and maintain quality as medical seats expand.
