Agri scientists, farmers among Padma winners
Nine individuals from the farm and allied sectors, including prominent agricultural scientists Ashok Kumar Singh and Gopal Ji Trivedi, have been honored with the Padma Shri. Their contributions range from developing numerous rice varieties and genome-edited crops to promoting makhana cultivation and innovative farming techniques, significantly boosting farm growth and farmer livelihoods across India.
