Uttar Pradesh Government Doubles Internship Stipend for AYUSH Students

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant increase in the internship stipend for students in Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy programs, raising it from 7,500 to 15,000 per month. This decision, made during a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to support over 1,700 interns as they undergo practical training in hospitals. The move is part of broader efforts to enhance medical education and healthcare services in the state, which has seen a substantial rise in medical colleges and MBBS seats in recent years. The increased stipend will help students manage their expenses during this critical training period.
