Rs 15 lakh PF deducted but not deposited: HC allows criminal case to continue against director of company that turned insolvent

The Orissa High Court ruled that a company director will face a criminal case for failing to deposit Rs 15 lakh deducted from employee salaries for PF. Despite the company becoming insolvent and the dues later being cleared, the court emphasized that subsequent payment does not erase the criminal liability for the initial default.
