Didnt opt for higher pension, still eligible: Jharkhand HC allows higher pension as scheme is more beneficial to employee

The Jharkhand High Court has ruled that employees can be switched to a more beneficial pension scheme like General Provident Fund (GPF) even without formally opting in. This decision applies if the employee was appointed before January 1, 1986, and did not explicitly choose to remain in the Contributory Provident Fund (CPF).
