Varsity assistant registrar held for accepting bribe

Vigilance sleuths apprehended Mohammad Sanaullah Khan, assistant registrar at Maulana Mazharul Haq Arabic and Persian University, accepting a Rs2.5 lakh bribe. The arrest followed a complaint alleging he demanded money to upload pending practical marks. Khan, however, claimed he was a conduit for a bribe demanded by the vice-chancellor. Investigations are ongoing.
