CBSE introduces Maithili in curriculum, CM hails decision

The introduction of Maithili into the CBSE curriculum beginning in the 2026-27 academic year has been celebrated as a transformative step for the preservation of Mithilas rich cultural legacy. This initiative, in line with the NEP 2020s emphasis on native languages, enables students to engage with Maithili from Class I through to secondary education.
