Ram Sutar, designer of Statue of Unity, passes away at 100

Renowned sculptor Ram Sutar, celebrated for designing the world's tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, has passed away at his Noida residence at the age of 100. Sutar, a Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee, was also known for his iconic statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Chhatrapati Shivaji. His son confirmed his death due to age-related illnesses.
