Nebraska sinks 150 trees at 16 lake sites to create shelter for young fish

In Nebraska, conservationists launched an innovative project by strategically removing overgrown trees and submerging them to foster underwater fish habitats. With 150 trees now placed in two lakes, this initiative not only improves access for fishermen but also revitalizes the aquatic ecosystem. By addressing dense shorelines, the project aims to enhance the fishing experience while simultaneously supporting thriving fish populations.
