Mark Zuckerberg has paid almost double the listed price for Gothic Castle in Ireland

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have acquired Strancally Castle in County Waterford for more than 51 million. The couple plans to use the castle as a family residence during visits to Ireland. This historic property, originally built around 1830, includes a substantial 440-acre estate. The previous owners, Michael and Giancarla Alen-Buckley, invested in extensive restorations over 25 years.
