Even if marriage never legally existed, maintenance can still follow: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has ruled that a spouse in a void marriage is eligible to seek permanent alimony and interim maintenance under Sections 25 and 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, even if the marriage is declared null under Section 11.
