Ahead of key Ladakh meet, Buddhist group meets MoS Home, opposes statehood demand

A delegation from Zanskar, Kargil, met with Union Minister Nityanand Rai to oppose Ladakh's statehood demand, seeking instead a separate autonomous council for their region. They also requested the formal operationalization of Zanskar as a new district.
