Anti-CEC protests reach London as SFI UK demonstrators face pro-government counter-protest

Protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar have reached London, with SFI UK staging a demonstration outside the Indian High Commission on October 16. The protesters demanded accountability and transparency, following earlier calls for the CECs resignation and the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Pro-Modi supporters staged a counter-protest, with Metropolitan Police officers keeping the two groups apart as both sides raised slogans and waved the Indian Tricolour.
