All in a days work: Tambaram Corporation rolls back hike of water charge after protest by residents

Chromepet resident Sethu Madhavan writes that on April 15, the Tambaram Corporation had increased water charge from 50.50 per month to a whopping 150.50; residents were on the warpath, and with a couple of major residents associations putting their entire weight behind the campaign, by sundown, the hike was scaled back and the revised water charge stood at 101 per month
