A panchayat dream and a daughters murder

On January 29, a girls body was found in the Nizam Sagar distributary canal in Telanganas Nizamabad. The police say the girls father killed her, his firstborn, so that his wife could contest the panchayat election. Under Maharashtras rules, candidates with more than two children cannot contest local elections and the couple had three.
