NCERT Introduces AI and Computational Thinking Curriculum for High School Students

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has unveiled a new educational module aimed at integrating artificial intelligence and computational thinking into the curriculum for students in grades 9 to 12. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and seeks to enhance students' logical reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. The module is designed to be accessible without prior knowledge of programming, making it inclusive for all learners. Activities are structured to be engaging and can be conducted without the need for computers or internet access, ensuring that students from various backgrounds can benefit. This initiative not only prepares students for future technologies but also emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and responsible use of AI.
