Rajya Sabha to take up Bill granting legal protection to 'Vande Mataram'

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will introduce the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in the Rajya Sabha on the first day of the Monsoon Session. The proposed law seeks to extend the same legal protection enjoyed by the National Anthem to 'Vande Mataram'.
