YSRCP asks Supreme Court for retired judge-led panel to oversee Andhra local body polls, seeks bar on unopposed wins

Opposition party YSRCP has submitted a fresh application to the Supreme Court concerning the Andhra Pradesh local body elections. The application requests the formation of a committee to investigate alleged election irregularities and prevent unopposed victories. YSRCP claims that violence hindered numerous candidates from filing their nominations, and they seek an extension for the nomination deadline. Additionally, they have requested the release of CCTV footage from nomination centers.
