Trump plunges the US into a new era of risk in Venezuela

President Donald Trump said the United States plans to run Venezuela for an unspecified period after U.S. forces seized President Nicols Maduro and his wife, raising fears of deep U.S. political and economic intervention in the country. Trump said Maduros former vice president, Delcy Rodrguez, would remain in charge only if she followed U.S. directives, a claim she rejected, calling the action an invasion and asserting Maduro remains head of state.
