Toll plazas to be removed by the end of 2026: Nitin Gadkari says you could drive at 80 kmph without bothering about toll payments

India is set to eliminate physical toll plazas by the end of 2026. A new automated system will charge vehicles based on distance travelled. This will use number plate recognition and FASTag technology. Drivers will not need to stop, allowing for uninterrupted travel at highway speeds.
