Thiruparankundram hill lamp row: SC dismisses plea for action against officials

The Supreme Court has upheld a Madras High Court decision. The High Court had dismissed a plea seeking action against officials. These officials denied Hindu devotees permission to light a lamp on Thiruparankundram hill. However, religious celebrations for Ramzan were permitted on the hill. The Supreme Court reduced the cost imposed on the petitioner.
