The issue came to light following the JetBlue Flight 1230 incident on Oct. 30, 2025, when a sudden altitude drop resulted in an emergency landing. Airbus cautioned that extreme solar activity could corrupt significant flight-control data, impacting over 6,000 aircraft globally.
