Samsung workers approve pay deal, shares surge

Samsung Electronics unionized workers have approved a bonus pay deal, averting an 18-day strike. The agreement, however, creates significant pay disparities, with memory chip division workers set to receive substantial bonuses, while others in consumer electronics will get much less. This deal aims to narrow the gap with rival SK Hynix amid soaring AI-driven chip demand.
