SC orders MP assembly speaker Tomar to hear disqualification case against MLA Nirmala Sapre

The Supreme Court has directed the Madhya Pradesh assembly speaker to resolve a disqualification petition against MLA Nirmala Sapre. Sapre won her seat on a Congress ticket but announced her intention to join BJP during the campaign. This announcement raised questions about her allegiance, prompting a legal challenge from Congress leader Umang Singhar. The speaker's decision is required within two months to uphold the principles of the anti-defection law.
