Punjab civic polls: Political workers clash at several places; 63.94 per cent voter turnout recorded

Punjab witnessed civic elections on Tuesday. Clashes and allegations of booth capturing were reported across several locations. The polling saw a turnout of 63.94 percent. The elections are considered crucial ahead of next year's assembly polls. Counting of votes will take place on May 29. Several political leaders condemned the violence.
