Parents' support to wife doesn't relieve husband of maintenance duty: Allahabad HC

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that a husband cannot deny maintenance to his wife simply because her parents offer financial help. The court emphasized that parental support is not the wife's income and doesn't absolve the husband of his legal duty. Allowing a wife's plea, the High Court increased her maintenance and that of her two children, deeming the family court's initial award inadequate.
