Pakistan reintroduces Anti-Terrorism Act with preventive detention powers for military, civil forces

Pakistan's National Assembly has passed the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2024, reinstating a provision allowing military and civil armed forces to preventively detain terrorism suspects for up to three months.
