PM Modi unveils Rs 23,000 cr worth Shillong-Silchar Corridor ahead of assembly elections in Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Shillong-Silchar Corridor. This significant infrastructure project involves an investment of approximately Rs 22,860 crore. The 166 km corridor will enhance connectivity between Meghalaya and Assam. It is set to become the first access-controlled greenfield four-lane high-speed corridor in Northeast India. The project will significantly reduce travel time between Guwahati and Silchar.
