Law ministry brings new rules for adjudicating court fee violations in Union territories

The 2026 rules establish a framework for complaints, adjudication, financial penalties and appeals, following amendments under the Jan Vishwas Act, 2026, which replaced criminal punishment with monetary penalties for minor, non-fraudulent violations.
