Lab-grown meat hits major milestone, dramatically reducing land, water use, and climate impact

As the worlds demand for protein skyrockets, traditional livestock farming, particularly beef, is taking a heavy toll on the environment through massive land, water, and feed use, plus greenhouse gas emissions. Lab-grown, or cultivated, meat presents a sustainable alternative by producing meat from animal cells in controlled bioreactors, eliminating the need for grazing and feeding crops. Companies such as Upside Foods, GOOD Meat, and Aleph Farms are scaling production, with regulatory approvals emerging.
