Kolkata weather update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Kolkata today, April 8, 2026 and has warned of rainfall, thunderstorms, squalls and strong winds. A yellow alert has been issued for tomorrow and rain is likely to continue. There will be clear skies in the city from April 11, according to the IMD.
