Jantar Mantar protest site denotified: Small businesses fear losses as footfall dries up

The Delhi Police has denotified Jantar Mantar as a designated venue for protests, leading to concerns among local vendors. Shopkeepers report a significant decrease in foot traffic and expect losses due to fewer protests and office-goers. Small businesses reliant on protest crowds are particularly worried about declining earnings in the area. The decision comes after recommendations by a committee from the Union Home Ministry on alternative protest locations.
