Indias goods exports up 18% to $45.2 bn in May

India's merchandise exports reached a record $45.2 billion in May. Imports also grew, leading to a trade deficit of $28.21 billion. Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal expressed optimism for FY27 if export momentum continues. The West Asia crisis impacted March exports, but recovery is noted.
