India rejects Hague tribunal's arbitration award; says Indus Waters Treaty is in abeyance

India has rejected a ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration concerning hydroelectric projects in Jammu and Kashmir. New Delhi stated that the court was illegally constituted and its awards are null and void. India's decision to hold the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance remains in effect.
