Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, criticized the government after the women's reservation bill failed to pass the Lok Sabha. They accused the Centre of using an unconstitutional trick and vowed to support a 2023 law for women's reservation. Home Minister Amit Shah, however, condemned the opposition's celebration as an insult to women.
