Heavy rain in next 48 hours in Uttarakhand; several districts on 'Red Alert': Met

Uttarakhand is experiencing active monsoon conditions with extreme rainfall recorded in Kashipur. A red alert has been issued for seven districts due to heavy to very heavy rainfall predictions. The weather department forecasts continued rain across the state for the next 48 hours. Risks of landslides and flash floods are a significant concern for affected regions. Light to moderate showers are expected in most parts of the state through mid-July.
