Govt revisits plan to raise wage cap for PF coverage

The government is considering a significant increase in the provident fund wage ceiling. Current limits may rise to 25,000 or 30,000 monthly from 15,000. This move aims to prevent workers from being excluded from social security due to rising wages. Discussions are underway with stakeholders to finalize the new ceiling. The Employees' State Insurance Corporation ceiling is also being reviewed.
