Government working on multiple formulations to increase number of LS seats by 50% for all states

The government is reportedly exploring options to increase Lok Sabha seats by 50% to address southern states' concerns about political power post-delimitation. A new draft Constitution Amendment Bill aims to operationalize the women's quota law sooner, potentially before the 2029 elections. This involves increasing total seats to around 850, with seat ratios based on the 1971 Census potentially being maintained. Delimitation will use 2011 Census data.
